The Pfeiffer HLT550 helium mass spectrometer leak detector provides two leak detection modes, vacuum mode and positive pressure mode (sniffer mode). For leak detection in vacuum mode, connect the helium mass spectrometer leak detector to the vacuum system. Since the HLT550 does not have a backing pump, the vacuum system used on site can be used as the backing pump of the helium mass spectrometer leak detector. Near the air port (that is, the air inlet of the vacuum pump group), the vacuum system will have a pump group that is vacuuming, so the connection of the leak detector at the air inlet of the pump is in the direction of the air flow, and it is easy to have a part of the leak. The pressure is given to the leak detector to achieve the effect of leak detection.
Using the vacuum mode of the helium mass spectrometer leak detector to detect the vacuum welding furnace is the most widely used detection method in the industry.
